Canadian-based mineral exploration company Squire has appointed Simon Moore as its new president, CEO and director.
With a Master of Business (Research) degree from Queensland University of Technology, Australia, Moore has extensive experience in marketing, communication and private equity. Previously, he served as managing director at The Carlyle Group and Investcorp. He is also currently sitting on several company boards, including TPI Enterprises, Guzman y Gomez and Megaport.
The company also announced interim president and director Tibor Gadjics as the new board chairman.
Squire recently acquired seven mineral properties in the Chilcotin and Netchako regions of British Columbia. The lands, which cover more than 4,100 hectares, were described by the company as “prospective for gold and silver”. A preliminary evaluation will be carried out this summer to prepare the properties for exploration.
